Welcome to our new site! Hopefully, it doesn’t seem new (barring the theme change) and the switchover was seamless to your RSS feeds (fingers crossed)! Most of the changes have occurred under the hood, as we’ve migrated the entire site to a new web host. Oxygenvalve will still work since I’m paid up on the domain for the next 3 years, but the new domain name, La Vida Loftus, is how we will refer to the site from now on!
There are a number of reasons why we’re making these changes. First, our old host has been sort of jerking us around with pricing… and the new host costs less overall. Hooray for saving money! Second, I think we’ve sort of outgrown Oxgyenvalve. We wanted something that would better reflect us and our crazy life and we think the new domain name does that pretty well. Besides, most of the people who read this site are family and friends. Hi Dad!
Also, if you are a former reader of Mike’s old blog “Between Work and Play” you will find all his old archived posts are now merged with my posts. Hooray for integration. :)
We hope you enjoy the new and really not-so-new site. Stay tuned for more Loftus shenanigans.
