So Lent is finally over… and being Catholic, I was supposed to give something up. In all my 34 years, I’d never given anything up for Lent before, but this year I was bound and determined to actually follow through. I decided to give up buying clothes/shoes/accessories for myself. (I’ve tried giving up sweets before, but with my insatiable sweet-tooth, that is just impossible.) I know what you’re probably thinking: how on earth did you do that? Let me tell you, kiddies, it was REALLY HARD! But I did it. And I think it was a good exercise, but boy am I glad it’s over. Now I’m making lists of the things I want to buy — I’ve got a bunch of money from our tax return that’s burning a hole in my wallet. :) The trick is just finding the TIME!
